Contact

One email address. No forms, no telephone, no orders.

Corrections, source suggestions and factual challenges are welcome by email:

[email protected]

That is the only channel. There is no contact form, because a form would mean collecting and storing personal data for no reason. There is no telephone number.

What this address is for

  • Corrections. If a page misstates a standard, a regulation or a process, say which page and what is wrong. Corrections that come with a source are acted on fastest.
  • Source suggestions. Particularly primary material — legislation, standards documentation, museum and institutional technical writing.
  • Permissions and takedowns relating to material on this site.

What it is not for

  • Orders, enquiries and quotations. This is not a workshop. No engraving is undertaken here, nothing is manufactured, and nothing is sold. Enquiries of that kind cannot be answered or passed on.
  • Valuations. Questions about what a piece of engraved silver or an old plaque is worth need a valuer, not this site. The hallmarking page explains how to read the marks, which is a different question from what a thing is worth.
  • Compliance opinions. Whether a specific sign satisfies a specific regulation is a question for the relevant authority or a competent professional. The statutory safety signs page links the primary guidance.
